Barbarisierung der Luft – 空気の野蛮

Bertha Suttner’s (BvS) important and prophetic essay, ‘Die Barbarisierung der Luft’, has now been published in a Japanese translation. More than any other country, Japan has experienced the horrors that BvS warned against. The translation was meant to appear in 2012, on the centenary of the essay’s first publication.

Mr. Akio Komatsu has commissioned also the translation of Brigitte Hamann’s biography of BvS. This is now being undertaken by the same Japanese scholars who translated the essay (and, earlier, Die Waffen nieder!).

They hope to have the biography published next year, when BvS died 100 years ago and the first world war startet.
