Wagga Wagga city was the first Rotary Peace Community in the world.
Rotarians in Wagga have initiated the establishment of over fifty Rotary Peace Communities: in Asia, the Americas including South America, Canada, Europe and Australasia.
Specially selected conference speakers include:
- Rotary World Peace Fellows,
- Directors of Centres for Peace and Conflict Studies in Australia and overseas,
- international experts in conflict management and real justice,
- internationally recognised commentators on world Peace,
- Peace workers on grass roots projects,
- and a past world president of Rotary International.
We have live entertainment, “Down Under” excursions to rural Australia and we have an exciting youth program featuring students engaging in a Model United Nations Assembly debate and art works and essays from local and overseas students.
But most important of all will be the pleasure of mingling with other ambassadors for Peace-making new friends and reviving old ones.
