Global Media Forum
„Working Together to Shape Globalization – Enhancing Dialog, Expanding Partnerships“ will be the theme when German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle addresses participants of the Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum next week in Bonn, Germany.
He is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, June 26th, at 10:30 a.m., directly following the first plenary session of the day. The three-day conference is taking place at the World Conference Center in Bonn.
A discussion round will immediately follow the minister’s keynote address. His attendance underscores the importance this year’s conference theme „Culture. Education. Media – Shaping a Sustainable World“ holds in the international debate, particularly so close on the heels of the Rio+20 Summit in Brazil.
More than 1,800 participants from dozens of nations have already registered for this year’s Deutsche Welle Global Media Forum. They will explore how the media address topics such as cultural diversity, teaching and global ethics, new methods of learning and education towards democracy. To see the full program and register online, please go to: www.dw-gmf.de. The deadline for registration is June 20th. Registration on- site is possible.
