The 12th International Conference on War Tax Resistance and Peace Tax Campaigns will take place from 5 to 7 September 2008
This year the Conference is organised by Conscience – the UK Peace Tax Campaign.
The international conference is a biennial event which draws together national war tax resistance and peace tax campaigns from 16 different countries with Conscience and Peace Tax International (CPTI) , an NGO officially recognised by the UN.
The purpose is to achieve worldwide recognition and accommodation of the right for conscientious objectors not to pay for war or the preparations for war. The conference is a meeting for mutual support, exchange of ideas and experiences and to coordinate the campaigns on the international platform.
